Two trade groups launched or enhanced image campaigns in June to highlight the positive impacts of the airline and software industries.
Airlines for America released its first television commercial as part of its "We Connect the World" campaign. The commercial shows an airline employee using bright orange marshalling batons to guide people walking on a beach, shopping and sharing a romantic toast. A4A introduced the campaign and website in May to celebrate "everyday moments made possible" by 27,000 daily flights. Along with facts about the industry, the website features a section on "how to marshall."
BSA The Software Alliance introduced its "You Can Do Amazing Things With Software" campaign with a blog post by CEO Victoria Espinel.
"Today's software functions so consistently and seamlessly, we sometimes don't even realize the many ways it's improving our daily lives," Espinel wrote. "Yet it is at the very heart of innovation all around us."
Sections on the website highlight how software created by BSA members is used in space exploration, education, health and infrastructure.
